  139. 1Cor8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

  140. 1Cor8:7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

  141. 1Cor8:10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

  151. Heb3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

  152. Heb4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

  153. Heb4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

  154. Heb5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

  155. Heb5:3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

  156. Heb5:4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

  157. Heb5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

  158. Heb5:6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

  159. Heb5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

  160. Heb6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

  161. Heb7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

  162. Heb7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

  163. Heb7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

  164. Heb7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

  165. Heb7:13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

  166. Heb7:14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

  167. Heb7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

  168. Heb7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

  169. Heb7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

  170. Heb7:20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

  171. Heb7:21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

  172. Heb7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

  173. Heb7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

  174. Heb7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

  175. Heb7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

  176. Heb7:28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

  177. Heb8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

  178. Heb8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

  179. Heb8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

  180. Heb9:6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

  181. Heb9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

  182. Heb9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

  183. Heb9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

  184. Heb9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

  185. Heb9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

  186. Heb9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

  187. Heb10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

  188. Heb10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

  189. Heb10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

  190. Heb10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

  191. Heb10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
