[bbe] So Festus, having come into that part of the country which was under his rule, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.

[big5] 祭司長和猶太人的首領向他控告保羅，
[bbe] And the chief priests and the chief men of the Jews made statements against Paul,
[dunv] {<1161>}祭司長<749>和<2532>猶太人<2453>的首領<4413>向<1718><5656>他<846>控告<2596>保羅<3972>，
[big5] 又央告他，求他的情，將保羅提到耶路撒冷來，他們要在路上埋伏殺害他。
[bbe] Requesting Festus to give effect to their design against him, and send him to Jerusalem, when they would be waiting to put him to death on the way.
[dunv] 又<2532>央告<3870><5707>他<846>，求<154><5734>他的情<5485>{<2596>}{<846>}，將{<3704>}保羅{<846>}提<3343><5667>到<1519>耶路撒冷<2419>來，他們要在<2596>路<3598>上埋伏<4160><5723><1747>殺害<337><5629>他<337><5629>。
[big5] 非斯都卻回答說：保羅押在該撒利亞，我自己快要往那裡去；
[bbe] But Festus, in answer, said that Paul was being kept in prison at Caesarea, and that in a short time he himself was going there.
[dunv] 非斯都<5347>卻<3303><3767>回答<611><5662>說：保羅<3972>押<5083><5745>在<1722>該撒利亞<2542>，{<1161>}我自己<1438>快<5034>要<3195><5721>往那裡去<1607><5738><1722>；
[big5] 又說：你們中間有權勢的人與我一同下去，那人若有什麼不是，就可以告他。
[bbe] So, he said, let those who have authority among you go with me, and if there is any wrong in the man, let them make a statement against him.
[dunv] {<3767>}又說<5346><5748>：你們<5213>中間<1722>有權勢<1415>的人與我一同下去<4782><5631>，{<1722>}那人{<5129>}若有<2076><5748>甚麼不是<1536>，就可以告<2723><5720>他{<846>}{<435>}。
[big5] 非斯都在他們那裡住了不過十天八天，就下該撒利亞去；第二天坐堂，吩咐將保羅提上來。
[bbe] And when he had been with them not more than eight or ten days, he went down to Caesarea; and on the day after, he took his place on the judge's seat, and sent for Paul.

[big5] 保羅來了，那些從耶路撒冷下來的猶太人周圍站著，將許多重大的事控告他，都是不能證實的。
[bbe] And when he came, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem came round him, and made all sorts of serious statements against him, which were not supported by the facts.
[dunv] {<1161>}保羅{<846>}來了<3854><5637>，那些從<575>耶路撒冷<2414>下來<2597><5761>的猶太人<2453>周圍站著<4026><5627>，{<2532>}將<5342><5723>許多<4183>重大<926>的事控告<157>{<2596>}他{<3972>}，都<3739>是不<3756>能<2480><5707>證實<584><5658>的。
[big5] 保羅分訴說：無論猶太人的律法，或是聖殿，或是該撒，我都沒有干犯。
[bbe] Then Paul, in his answer to them, said, I have done no wrong against the law of the Jews, or against the Temple, or against Caesar.
[dunv] 保羅{<846>}分訴說<626><5740>：無論<3754><3777>猶太人<2453>的{<1519>}律法<3551>，或是<3777>{<1519>}聖殿<2411>，或是<3777>{<1519>}該撒<2541>，我都<5100>沒有干犯<264><5627>。
[big5] 但非斯都要討猶太人的喜歡，就問保羅說：你願意上耶路撒冷去，在那裡聽我審斷這事嗎？
[bbe] But Festus, desiring to get the approval of the Jews, said to Paul, Will you go up to Jerusalem, and be judged before me there in connection with these things?
[dunv] 但<1161>非斯都<5347>要<2309><5723>討<2698><5641>猶太人<2453>的喜歡<5485>，就問<611><5679>保羅<3972>說<2036><5627>：你願意<2309><5719>上<305><5631>{<1519>}耶路撒冷<2414>去，在那裡<1563>聽{<1909>}我<1700>審斷<2919><5745>這<4012>事<5130>麼？
[big5] 保羅說：我站在該撒的堂前，這就是我應當受審的地方。我向猶太人並沒有行過什麼不義的事，這也是你明明知道的。
[bbe] And Paul said, I am before the seat of Caesar's authority where it is right for me to be judged: I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you are well able to see.
[dunv] {<1161>}保羅<3972>說<2036><5627>：我站在<1510><5748><2476><5761>{<1909>}該撒<2541>的堂<968>前，這就是我<3165>應當<1163><5748>受審<2919><5745>的地方<3757>。我向猶太人<2453>並沒有行過甚麼不<3762>義<91><5656>的事，這也<2532>是<5613>你<4771>明明<2566>知道<1921><5719>的。
[big5] 我若行了不義的事，犯了什麼該死的罪，就是死，我也不辭。他們所告我的事若都不實，就沒有人可以把我交給他們。我要上告於該撒。
[bbe] If, then, I am a wrongdoer and there is a cause of death in me, I am ready for death: if it is not as they say against me, no man may give me up to them. Let my cause come before Caesar.
[dunv] {<1063>}我若<1487><3303>行了不義<91><5719>的事，{<2532>}犯了<4238><5758>甚麼該<514>死<2288>的罪<5100>，就是死<599><5629>，我也不<3756>辭<3868><5736>。{<1161>}他們所<3778>告<2723><5719>我<3450>的事<3739>若<1487>都<2076><5748>不<3762>實，就沒有人<3762>可以<1410><5736>把我<3165>交給<5483><5664>他們<846>。我要上告<1941><5731>於該撒<2541>。
[big5] 非斯都和議會商量了，就說：你既上告於該撒，可以往該撒那裡去。
[bbe] Then Festus, having had a discussion with the Jews, made answer, You have said, Let my cause come before Caesar; to Caesar you will go.
[dunv] {<5119>}非斯都<5347>和<3326>議會<4824>商量了<4814><5660>，就說<611><5662>：你既上告<1941><5764>於該撒<2541>，可以往<1909>該撒<2541>那裡去<2541>。
[big5] 過了些日子，亞基帕王和百尼基氏來到該撒利亞，問非斯都安。
[bbe] Now when some days had gone by, King Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea and went to see Festus.
[dunv] {<1161>}過了<1230><5637>些<5100>日子<2250>，亞基帕<67>王<935>和<2532>百尼基氏<959>來<2658><5656>到<1519>該撒利亞<2542>，問<782><5697>非斯都<5347>安。

[bbe] And as they were there for some days, Festus gave them Paul's story, saying, There is a certain man here who was put in prison by Felix:

[big5] 我在耶路撒冷的時候，祭司長和猶太的長老將他的事稟報了我，求我定他的罪。
[bbe] Against whom the chief priests and the rulers of the Jews made a statement when I was at Jerusalem, requesting me to give a decision against him.
[dunv] 我<3450>在<1096><5637>{<1519>}耶路撒冷<2414>的時候，祭司長<749>和<2532>猶太<2453>的長老<4245>將他<3739>的事{<4012>}稟報了<1718><5656>我，求<154><5734>我定<1349>{<2596>}他<846>的罪。
[big5] 我對他們說，無論什麼人，被告還沒有和原告對質，未得機會分訴所告他的事，就先定他的罪，這不是羅馬人的條例。
[bbe] To whom I gave answer that it is not the Roman way to give a man up, till he has been face to face with those who are attacking him, and has had a chance to give an answer to the statements made against him.
[dunv] 我對<4314>他們{<3739>}說<611><5662>，無論甚麼<5100>人<444>，被告<2723><5746>還<4250>沒有<2192><5722>和{<2228>}原告<2725>對質<2596><4383>，未{<5037>}得<2983><5630>機會<5117>分訴<627>所<4012>告他的事<1462>，就先定<5483><5738>他的{<1519>}罪<684>，{<3754>}這不<3756>是<2076><5748>羅馬人<4514>的條例<1485>。
[big5] 及至他們都來到這裡，我就不耽延，第二天便坐堂，吩咐把那人提上來。
[bbe] So, when they had come together here, straight away, on the day after, I took my place on the judge's seat and sent for the man.
[dunv] {<3767>}及至他們<846>都來<4905><5631>到這裡<1759>，我就不<4160><5671>{<3367>}耽延<311>，第二天<1836>便坐<2523><5660>{<1909>}堂<968>，吩咐<2753><5656>把那人<435>提上來<71><5683>。
[big5] 告他的人站著告他；所告的，並沒有我所逆料的那等惡事。
[bbe] But when they got up they said nothing about such crimes as I had in mind:
[dunv] 告<4012>他<3739>的人<2725>站著<2476><5685>告他；所告的{<2018>}{<5707>}，並沒<3762>有{<3739>}我<1473>所逆料<5282><5707>的那等惡事<156>。
[big5] 不過是有幾樣辯論，為他們自己敬鬼神的事，又為一個人名叫耶穌，是已經死了，保羅卻說他是活著的。
[bbe] But had certain questions against him in connection with their religion, and about one Jesus, now dead, who, Paul said, was living.
[dunv] 不過<1161>是有<2192><5707>幾樣<5100>辯論<2213>{<4314>}{<846>}，為他們<4012>自己<2398>敬鬼神的事<1175>，又<2532>為<4012>一個<5100>人名叫耶穌<2424>，是已經死了<2348><5761>，保羅<3972>卻說<5335><5707>他{<3739>}是活著的<2198><5721>。
[big5] 這些事當怎樣究問，我心裡作難，所以問他說：你願意上耶路撒冷去，在那裡為這些事聽審嗎？
[bbe] And as I had not enough knowledge for the discussion of these things, I made the suggestion to him to go to Jerusalem and be judged there.
[dunv] {<1161>}這些{<1519>}事當<5127>怎樣<4012>究問<2214>，我<1473>心裡作難<639><5734>，所以問<3004><5707>他說：你{<1487>}願意<1014><5739>上<4198><5738>{<1519>}耶路撒冷<2419>去，在那裡<2546>為<4012>這些事<5130>聽審<2919><5745>麼？
[big5] 但保羅求我留下他，要聽皇上審斷，我就吩咐把他留下，等我解他到該撒那裡去。
[bbe] But when Paul made a request that he might be judged by Caesar, I gave orders for him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.
[dunv] 但<1161>保羅<3972>求<1941><5671>我留下<5083><5683><846>他，要<1519>聽<1233>皇上{<4575>}審斷，我就吩咐<2753><5656>把他<846>留下<5083><5745>，等<2193><3739>我解<3992><5661>他<846>到<4314>該撒<2541>那裡去。
[big5] 亞基帕對非斯都說：我自己也願聽這人辯論。非斯都說：明天你可以聽。
[bbe] And Agrippa said to Festus, I have a desire to give the man a hearing myself. Tomorrow, he said, you may give him a hearing.
[dunv] {<1161>}亞基帕<67>對<4314>非斯都<5347>說：我自己<846>也<2532>願<1014><5711>聽<191><5658>這人<444>辯論。非斯都說<5346><5748>：{<1161>}明天<839>你可以聽<5346><5748>{<846>}。
[big5] 第二天，亞基帕和百尼基大張威勢而來，同著眾千夫長和城裡的尊貴人進了公廳。非斯都吩咐一聲，就有人將保羅帶進來。
[bbe] So on the day after, when Agrippa and Bernice in great glory had come into the public place of hearing, with the chief of the army and the chief men of the town, at the order of Festus, Paul was sent for.
[dunv] 第二天<1887>，{<3767>}亞基帕<67>和<2532>百尼基<959>{<3326>}大張<4183>威勢<5325>而來<2064><5631>，{<2532>}同著<4862><5037>眾千夫長<5506>和<2532>城<4172>裡的{<5607>}{<5752>}尊貴<2596><1851>人<435>進<1525><5631>了<1519>公廳<201>。{<2532>}非斯都<5347>吩咐<2753><5660>一聲，就有人將保羅<3972>帶進來<71><5681>。
[big5] 非斯都說：亞基帕王和在這裡的諸位啊，你們看這人，就是一切猶太人，在耶路撒冷和這裡，曾向我懇求、呼叫說：不可容他再活著。
[bbe] And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all those who are present here with us, you see this man, about whom all the Jews have made protests to me, at Jerusalem and in this place, saying that it is not right for him to be living any longer.
[dunv] {<2532>}非斯都<5347>說<5346><5748>：亞基帕<67>王<935>和<2532>{<2254>}在<4840><5752>這裡的{<3588>}諸<3956>位<435>阿，你們看<2334><5719>這人<5126>，就是<4012>{<3739>}一切<3956>猶太<2453>人<4128>，在<1793><5627>{<5037>}{<1722>}耶路撒冷<2414>和<2532>這裡<1759>，曾向我<3427>懇求、呼叫<1916><5723>說：不<3361>可<1163><5750>容他再<3371>活著<2198><5721>。
[big5] 但我查明他沒有犯什麼該死的罪，並且他自己上告於皇帝，所以我定意把他解去。
[bbe] But, in my opinion, there is no cause of death in him, and as he himself has made a request to be judged by Caesar, I have said that I would send him.
[dunv] 但<1161>我<1473>查明<2638><5642>他<846>沒有犯<4238><5760>甚麼<3367>該<514>死<2288>的罪，並且<2532><1161>他自己<846>上告<1941><5671>於{<5127>}皇帝{<4575>}，所以我定意<2919><5656>把他<846>解去<3992><5721>。
[big5] 論到這人，我沒有確實的事可以奏明主上。因此，我帶他到你們面前，也特意帶他到你亞基帕王面前，為要在查問之後有所陳奏。
[bbe] But I have no certain account of him to send to Caesar. So I have sent for him to come before you, and specially before you, King Agrippa, so that after the business has been gone into, I may have something to put in writing.
[dunv] 論到<4012>這人<3739>，我沒<3756>有<2192><5719>確實的<804>事<5100>可以奏明<1125><5658>主<2962>上。因此<1352>，我帶<4254><5627>他<846>到你們<5216>面前<1909>，也<2532>特意<3122>帶他到你<4675>亞基帕<67>王<935>面前<1909>，為<3704>要在<1096><5637>查問<351>之後有<2192><5632>所<5100>陳奏<1125><5658>。
[big5] 據我看來，解送囚犯，不指明他的罪案是不合理的。
[bbe] For it seems to me against reason to send a prisoner without making clear what there is against him.
[dunv] 據<1063>我<3427>看來<1380><5719>，解送<3992><5723>囚犯<1198>，{<2532>}不<3361>指明<4591><5658>{<2596>}他<846>的罪案<156>是不合理的<249>。
