1. [big5] 從這日起，耶路撒冷的教會大遭逼迫，除了使徒以外，門徒都分散在猶太和撒瑪利亞各處。
   [bbe] And Saul gave approval to his death. Now at that time a violent attack was started against the church in Jerusalem; and all but the Apostles went away into all parts of Judaea and Samaria.
   

2. [big5] 有虔誠的人把司提反埋葬了，為他捶胸大哭。
   [bbe] And God-fearing men put Stephen's body in its last resting-place, making great weeping over him.
   

3. [big5] 掃羅卻殘害教會，進各人的家，拉著男女下在監裡。
   [bbe] But Saul was burning with hate against the church, going into every house and taking men and women and putting them in prison.
   

4. [big5] 那些分散的人往各處去傳道。
   [bbe] But those who had gone in flight went everywhere preaching the word.
   

5. [big5] 腓利下撒瑪利亞城去，宣講基督。
   [bbe] And Philip went down to Samaria and was teaching them about Christ.
   

6. [big5] 眾人聽見了，又看見腓利所行的神蹟，就同心合意的聽從他的話。
   [bbe] And all the people gave attention to the words which Philip said, when they saw the signs which he did.
   

7. [big5] 因為有許多人被污鬼附著，那些鬼大聲呼叫，從他們身上出來；還有許多癱瘓的，瘸腿的，都得了醫治。
   [bbe] For unclean spirits came out from those who had them, crying with a loud voice; and a number of those who were ill and broken in body were made well.
   

8. [big5] 在那城裡，就大有歡喜。
   [bbe] And there was much joy in that town.
   

9. [big5] 有一個人，名叫西門，向來在那城裡行邪術，妄自尊大，使撒瑪利亞的百姓驚奇；
   [bbe] But there was a certain man named Simon, who in the past had been a wonder-worker and a cause of surprise to the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was a great man:
   

10. [big5] 無論大小都聽從他，說：這人就是那稱為神的大能者。
    [bbe] To whom they all gave attention, from the smallest to the greatest, saying, This man is that power of God which is named Great.
    

11. [big5] 他們聽從他，因他久用邪術，使他們驚奇。
    [bbe] And they gave attention to him, because for a long time his wonder-working powers had kept them under his control.
    

12. [big5] 及至他們信了腓利所傳神國的福音和耶穌基督的名，連男帶女就受了洗。
    [bbe] But when they had faith in the good news given by Philip about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, a number of men and women had baptism.
    

13. [big5] 西門自己也信了；既受了洗，就常與腓利在一處，看見他所行的神蹟和大異能，就甚驚奇。
    [bbe] And Simon himself had faith and, having had baptism, he went with Philip and, seeing the signs and the great wonders which he did, he was full of surprise.
    

14. [big5] 使徒在耶路撒冷聽見撒瑪利亞人領受了神的道，就打發彼得、約翰往他們那裡去。
    [bbe] Now when the Apostles at Jerusalem had news that the people of Samaria had taken the word of God into their hearts, they sent to them Peter and John;
    

15. [big5] 兩個人到了，就為他們禱告，要叫他們受聖靈。
    [bbe] Who, when they came there, made prayer for them, that the Holy Spirit might be given to them:
    

16. [big5] 因為聖靈還沒有降在他們一個人身上，他們只奉主耶穌的名受了洗。
    [bbe] For up to that time he had not come on any of them; only baptism had been given to them in the name of the Lord Jesus.
    

17. [big5] 於是使徒按手在他們頭上，他們就受了聖靈。
    [bbe] Then they put their hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them.
    

18. [big5] 西門看見使徒按手，便有聖靈賜下，就拿錢給使徒，
    [bbe] Now when Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the touch of the Apostles' hands, he made them an offering of money, saying,
    

19. [big5] 說：把這權柄也給我，叫我手按著誰，誰就可以受聖靈。
    [bbe] Give me this power, so that when I put my hands on anyone he may get the Holy Spirit.
    

20. [big5] 彼得說：你的銀子和你一同滅亡吧！因你想神的恩賜是可以用錢買的。
    [bbe] But Peter said, May your money come to destruction with you, because you had the idea that what is freely given by God may be got for a price.
    

21. [big5] 你在這道上無分無關；因為在神面前，你的心不正。
    [bbe] You have no part in this business, because your heart is not right before God.
    

22. [big5] 你當懊悔你這罪惡，祈求主，或者你心裡的意念可得赦免。
    [bbe] Let your heart be changed, and make prayer to God that you may have forgiveness for your evil thoughts.
    

23. [big5] 我看出你正在苦膽之中，被罪惡捆綁。
    [bbe] For I see that you are prisoned in bitter envy and the chains of sin.
    

24. [big5] 西門說：願你們為我求主，叫你們所說的，沒有一樣臨到我身上。
    [bbe] And Simon, answering, said, Make prayer for me to the Lord, so that these things which you have said may not come on me.
    

25. [big5] 使徒既證明主道，而且傳講，就回耶路撒冷去，一路在撒瑪利亞好些村莊傳揚福音。
    [bbe] So they, having given their witness and made clear the word of the Lord, went back to Jerusalem, giving the good news on their way in a number of the small towns of Samaria.
    

26. [big5] 有主的一個使者對腓利說：起來！向南走，往那從耶路撒冷下迦薩的路上去。那路是曠野。
    [bbe] But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, Get up, and go to the south, to the road which goes from Jerusalem to Gaza, through the waste land.
    

27. [big5] 腓利就起身去了，不料，有一個埃提阿伯（即古實，見賽18:1）人，是個有大權的太監，在埃提阿伯女王干大基的手下總管銀庫，他上耶路撒冷禮拜去了。
    [bbe] And he went and there was a man of Ethiopia, a servant of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, and controller of all her property, who had come up to Jerusalem for worship;
    

28. [big5] 現在回來，在車上坐著，念先知以賽亞的書。
    [bbe] He was going back, seated in his carriage, and was reading the book of the prophet Isaiah.
    

29. [big5] 聖靈對腓利說：你去！貼近那車走。
    [bbe] And the Spirit said to Philip, Go near, and get on his carriage.
    

30. [big5] 腓利就跑到太監那裡，聽見他念先知以賽亞的書，便問他說：你所念的，你明白嗎？
    [bbe] And Philip, running up to him, saw that he was reading Isaiah the prophet, and said to him, Is the sense of what you are reading clear to you?
    

31. [big5] 他說：沒有人指教我，怎能明白呢？於是請腓利上車，與他同坐。
    [bbe] And he said, How is that possible when I have no guide? And he made Philip get up by his side.
    

32. [big5] 他所念的那段經，說：他像羊被牽到宰殺之地，又像羊羔在剪毛的人手下無聲；他也是這樣不開口。
    [bbe] Now the place in the book where he was reading was this: He was taken, like a sheep, to be put to death; and as a lamb is quiet when its wool is being cut, so he made no sound:
    

33. [big5] 他卑微的時候，人不按公義審判他（原文是他的審判被奪去）；誰能述說他的世代，因為他的生命從地上奪去。
    [bbe] Being of low degree, his cause was not given a hearing: who has knowledge of his family? for his life is cut off from the earth.
    

34. [big5] 太監對腓利說：請問，先知說這話是指著誰？是指著自己呢？是指著別人呢？
    [bbe] And the Ethiopian said to Philip, About whom are these words said by the prophet? about himself, or some other?
    

35. [big5] 腓利就開口從這經上起，對他傳講耶穌。
    [bbe] So Philip, starting from this writing, gave him the good news about Jesus.
    

36. [big5] 二人正往前走，到了有水的地方，太監說：看哪，這裡有水，我受洗有什麼妨礙呢？（有古卷在此有：
    [bbe] And while they were going on their way, they came to some water, and the Ethiopian said, See, here is water; why may I not have baptism?
    

37. [big5] 腓利說：你若是一心相信，就可以。他回答說：我信耶穌基督是神的兒子。）
    [bbe] []
    

38. [big5] 於是吩咐車站住，腓利和太監二人同下水裡去，腓利就給他施洗。
    [bbe] And he gave orders for the carriage to be stopped, and the two of them went down into the water, and Philip gave him baptism.
    

39. [big5] 從水裡上來，主的靈把腓利提了去，太監也不再見他了，就歡歡喜喜的走路。
    [bbe] And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away; and the Ethiopian saw him no more, for he went on his way full of joy.
    

40. [big5] 後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利；他走遍那地方，在各城宣傳福音，直到該撒利亞。
    [bbe] But Philip came to Azotus, and went through all the towns, preaching the good news, till he came to Caesarea.
