[bbe] Now these are the laws which you are to put before them.

[big5] 你若買希伯來人作奴僕，他必服事你六年；第七年他可以自由，白白地出去。
[bbe] If you get a Hebrew servant for money, he is to be your servant for six years, and in the seventh year you are to let him go free without payment.

[bbe] If he comes to you by himself, let him go away by himself: if he is married, let his wife go away with him.

[bbe] If his master gives him a wife, and he gets sons or daughters by her, the wife and her children will be the property of the master, and the servant is to go away by himself.

[bbe] But if the servant says clearly, My master and my wife and children are dear to me; I have no desire to be free:
[dunv] 倘或<0518>奴僕<05650>明<0559><8800>說<0559><8799>：我愛<0157><8804>我的主人<0113>和我的妻子<0802>兒女<01121>，不<03605>願意自由<02670>出去<03318><8799>。
[big5] 他的主人就要帶他到審判官（審判官或作：神；下同）那裡，又要帶他到門前，靠近門框，用錐子穿他的耳朵，他就永遠服事主人。
[bbe] Then his master is to take him to the gods of the house, and at the door, or at its framework, he is to make a hole in his ear with a sharp-pointed instrument; and he will be his servant for ever.

[bbe] And if a man gives his daughter for a price to be a servant, she is not to go away free as the men-servants do.

[big5] 主人選定他歸自己，若不喜歡他，就要許他贖身；主人既然用詭詐待他，就沒有權柄賣給外邦人。
[bbe] If she is not pleasing to her master who has taken her for himself, let a payment be made for her so that she may go free; her master has no power to get a price for her and send her to a strange land, because he has been false to her.

[big5] 主人若選定他給自己的兒子，就當待他如同女兒。
[bbe] And if he gives her to his son, he is to do everything for her as if she was his daughter.

[big5] 若另娶一個，那女子的吃食、衣服，並好合的事，仍不可減少。
[bbe] And if he takes another woman, her food and clothing and her married rights are not to be less.

[big5] 若不向他行這三樣，他就可以不用錢贖，白白地出去。
[bbe] And if he does not do these three things for her, she has the right to go free without payment.

[big5] 打人以致打死的，必要把他治死。
[bbe] He who gives a man a death-blow is himself to be put to death.
[dunv] 打<05221><8688>人<0376>以致打死<04191><8804>的，必要<04191><8800>把他治死<04191><8714>。
[big5] 人若不是埋伏著殺人，乃是神交在他手中，我就設下一個地方，他可以往那裡逃跑。
[bbe] But if he had no evil purpose against him, and God gave him into his hand, I will give you a place to which he may go in flight.

[bbe] But if a man makes an attack on his neighbour on purpose, to put him to death by deceit, you are to take him from my altar and put him to death.
[dunv] 人<0376>若<03588>任意<02102><8686>用詭計<06195>殺了<02026><8800>{<05921>}他的鄰舍<07453>，就是逃到我的壇<04196>那裡，也當捉去<03947><8799>把他治死<04191><8800>。

[bbe] Any man who gives a blow to his father or his mother is certainly to be put to death.
[dunv] 打<05221><8688>父<01>母<0517>的，必要<04191><8800>把他治死<04191><8714>。
[big5] 拐帶人口，或是把人賣了，或是留在他手下，必要把他治死。
[bbe] Any man who gets another into his power in order to get a price for him is to be put to death, if you take him in the act.

[big5] 咒罵父母的，必要把他治死。
[bbe] Any man cursing his father or his mother is to be put to death.

[big5] 人若彼此相爭，這個用石頭或是拳頭打那個，尚且不至於死，不過躺臥在床，
[bbe] If, in a fight, one man gives another a blow with a stone, or with the shut hand, not causing his death, but making him keep in bed;
[dunv] 人<0582>若<03588>彼此相爭<07378><8799>，這個<0376>用石頭<068>或<0176>是拳頭<0106>打<05221><8689>那個<07453>，尚且不至於<03605>死<04191><8799>，不過躺臥<05307><8804>在床<04904>，
[big5] 若再能起來扶杖而出，那打他的可算無罪；但要將他耽誤的工夫用錢賠補，並要將他全然醫好。
[bbe] If he is able to get up again and go about with a stick, the other will be let off; only he will have to give him payment for the loss of his time, and see that he is cared for till he is well.
[dunv] 若<0518>再能起來<06965><8799>扶杖{<05921>}<04938>而出<01980><8694><02351>，那打<05221><8688>他的可算無罪<05352><8738>；但要將他耽誤的工夫<07674>用錢賠補<05414><8799>，並要將他全然<07495><8763>醫好<07495><8762>。
[big5] 人若用棍子打奴僕或婢女，立時死在他的手下，他必要受刑。
[bbe] If a man gives his man-servant or his woman-servant blows with a rod, causing death, he is certainly to undergo punishment.
[dunv] 人<0376>若<03588>用棍子<07626>打<05221><8686>奴僕<05650>或<0176>婢女<0519>，立時死在<04191><8804>他的手<03027>下<08478>，他必要<05358><8800>受刑<05358><8735>。
[big5] 若過一兩天才死，就可以不受刑，因為是用錢買的。
[bbe] But, at the same time, if the servant goes on living for a day or two, the master is not to get punishment, for the servant is his property.
[dunv] {<0389>}若<0518>過<05975><8799>一兩<08147>天<03117>才死，就可以不<03808>受刑<05358><8714>，因為<03588>是用錢<03701>買的。
[big5] 人若彼此爭鬥，傷害有孕的婦人，甚至墜胎，隨後卻無別害，那傷害他的，總要按婦人的丈夫所要的，照審判官所斷的受罰。
[bbe] If men, while fighting, do damage to a woman with child, causing the loss of the child, but no other evil comes to her, the man will have to make payment up to the amount fixed by her husband, in agreement with the decision of the judges.
[dunv] 人<0582>若<03588>彼此爭鬥<05327><8735>，傷害<05062><8804>有孕<02030>的婦人<0802>，甚至墜<03318><8804>胎<03206>，隨後卻無<03808>別害<0611>，那傷害他的，總要<06064><8800>按婦人<0802>的丈夫<01167>所要<07896><8799>的，照審判官<06414>所斷的，受罰<06064><8735>{<05414>}{<8804>}。

[bbe] But if damage comes to her, let life be given in payment for life,

[bbe] Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

[bbe] Burning for burning, wound for wound, blow for blow.

[big5] 人若打壞了他奴僕或是婢女的一隻眼，就要因他的眼放他去得以自由。
[bbe] If a man gives his man-servant or his woman-servant a blow in the eye, causing its destruction, he is to let him go free on account of the damage to his eye.
[dunv] 人<0376>若<03588>打<05221><8686>壞了<07843><8765>他奴僕<05650>{<05869>}或是婢女<0519>的一隻眼<05869>，就要因<08478>他的眼<05869>放他去<07971><8762>得以自由<02670>。
[big5] 若打掉了他奴僕或是婢女的一個牙，就要因他的牙放他去得以自由。
[bbe] Or if the loss of a tooth is caused by his blow, he will let him go free on account of his tooth.
[dunv] 若<0518>打<05307><8686>掉了他奴僕<05650>{<08127>}或是<0176>婢女<0519>的一個牙<08127>，就要因他的牙<08127>放他去<07971><8762>得以自由<02670>。
[big5] 牛若觸死男人或是女人，總要用石頭打死那牛，卻不可吃他的肉；牛的主人可算無罪。
[bbe] If an ox comes to be the cause of death to a man or a woman, the ox is to be stoned, and its flesh may not be used for food; but the owner will not be judged responsible.
[dunv] 牛<07794>若<03588>觸<05055><8799>死<04191><8804>男人<0376>或是<0176>女人<0802>，總要<05619><8800>用石頭打死<05619><8735>那牛<07794>，卻不可<03808>吃<0398><8735>他的肉<01320>；牛<07794>的主人<01167>可算無罪<05355>。
[big5] 倘若那牛素來是觸人的，有人報告了牛主，他竟不把牛拴著，以致把男人或是女人觸死，就要用石頭打死那牛，牛主也必治死。
[bbe] But if the ox has frequently done such damage in the past, and the owner has had word of it and has not kept it under control, so that it has been the cause of the death of a man or woman, not only is the ox to be stoned, but its owner is to be put to death.
[dunv] 倘若<0518>那牛<07794>素來<08543><08032>是觸<05056>人<01931>的，有人報告<05749><8717>了牛主<01167>，他竟不<03808>把牛拴著<08104><8799>，以致把男人<0376>或是<0176>女人<0802>觸死<04191><8689>，就要用石頭打死<05619><8735>那牛<07794>，牛主<01167>也<01571>必治死<04191><8714>。
[big5] 若罰他贖命的價銀，他必照所罰的贖他的命。
[bbe] If a price is put on his life, let him make payment of whatever price is fixed.
[dunv] 若<0518>罰<07896><8714>他贖命的價銀<03724>，他必照{<03605>}{<0834>}所罰的<07896><8714>贖<05414><8804><06306>他的命<05315>。
[big5] 牛無論觸了人的兒子或是女兒，必照這例辦理。
[bbe] If the death of a son or of a daughter has been caused, the punishment is to be in agreement with this rule.

[big5] 牛若觸了奴僕或是婢女，必將銀子三十舍客勒給他們的主人，也要用石頭把牛打死。
[bbe] If the death of a man-servant or of a woman-servant is caused by the ox, the owner is to give their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox is to be stoned.
[dunv] 牛<07794>若<0518>觸了<05055><8799>奴僕<05650>或是<0176>婢女<0519>，必將銀子<03701>三十<07970>舍客勒<08255>給<05414><8799>他們的主人<0113>，也要用石頭把牛<07794>打死<05619><8735>。
[big5] 人若敞著井口，或挖井不遮蓋，有牛或驢掉在裡頭，
[bbe] If a man makes a hole in the earth without covering it up, and an ox or an ass dropping into it comes to its death;
[dunv] 人<0376>若<03588>敞著<06605><8799>井口<0953>，或<0176>{<03588>}{<0376>}挖<03738><8799>井<0953>不<03808>遮蓋<03680><8762>，有牛<07794>或<0176>驢<02543>掉<05307><8804>在裡頭<08033>，
[big5] 井主要拿錢賠還本主人，死牲畜要歸自己。
[bbe] The owner of the hole is responsible; he will have to make payment to their owner, but the dead beast will be his.
[dunv] 井<0953>主<01167>要拿<07725><8686>錢<03701>賠還<07999><8762>本主人<01167>，死<04191><8801>牲畜要歸自己。
[big5] 這人的牛若傷了那人的牛，以至於死，他們要賣了活牛，平分價值，也要平分死牛。
[bbe] And if one man's ox does damage to another man's ox, causing its death, then the living ox is to be exchanged for money, and division made of the price of it, and of the price of the dead one.
[dunv] 這人<0376>的牛<07794>若<03588>傷了<05062><8799>那人的<07453>牛<07453>，以至於死<04191><8804>，他們要賣了<04376><8804>活<02416>牛<07794>，平分<02673><8804>價值<03701>，也要<01571>平分<02673><8799>死<04191><8801>牛。
[big5] 人若知道這牛素來是觸人的，主人竟不把牛拴著，他必要以牛還牛，死牛要歸自己。
[bbe] But if it is common knowledge that the ox has frequently done such damage in the past, and its owner has not kept it under control, he will have to give ox for ox; and the dead beast will be his.
[dunv] 人若<0176>知道<03045><8738>{<03588>}這牛<07794>素來<08543><08032>是觸人的<05056>，主人<01167>竟不<03808>把牛拴著<08104><8799>，他必要<07999><8763>以<07999><8762>牛<07794>還<08478>牛<07794>，死<04191><8801>牛要歸自己。
