[bbe] And Jacob sent for his sons, and said, Come together, all of you, so that I may give you news of your fate in future times.

[bbe] Come near, O sons of Jacob, and give ear to the words of Israel your father.

[bbe] Reuben, you are my oldest son, the first-fruit of my strength, first in pride and first in power:

[bbe] But because you were uncontrolled, the first place will not be yours; for you went up to your father's bed, even his bride-bed, and made it unclean.

[bbe] Simeon and Levi are brothers; deceit and force are their secret designs.

[big5] 我的靈啊，不要與他們同謀；我的心哪，不要與他們聯絡；因為他們趁怒殺害人命，任意砍斷牛腿大筋。
[bbe] Take no part in their secrets, O my soul; keep far away, O my heart, from their meetings; for in their wrath they put men to death, and for their pleasure even oxen were wounded.

[bbe] A curse on their passion for it was bitter; and on their wrath for it was cruel. I will let their heritage in Jacob be broken up, driving them from their places in Israel.

[bbe] To you, Judah, will your brothers give praise: your hand will be on the neck of your haters; your father's sons will go down to the earth before you.

[big5] 猶大是個小獅子；我兒啊，你抓了食便上去。你屈下身去，臥如公獅，蹲如母獅，誰敢惹你？
[bbe] Judah is a young lion; like a lion full of meat you have become great, my son; now he takes his rest like a lion stretched out and like an old lion; by whom will his sleep be broken?
[dunv] 猶大<03063>是個小<01482>獅子<0738>；我兒<01121>阿，你抓了食<02964>便上去<05927><8804>。你屈下身去<03766><8804>，臥<07257><8804>如公獅<0738>，蹲如母獅<03833>，誰敢惹<06965><8686>你？
[big5] 圭必不離猶大，杖必不離他兩腳之間，直等細羅【就是賜平安者】來到，萬民都必歸順。
[bbe] The rod of authority will not be taken from Judah, and he will not be without a law-giver, till he comes who has the right to it, and the peoples will put themselves under his rule.
[dunv] 圭<07626>必不離<05493><8799>猶大<03063>，杖<02710><8781>必不離他兩腳<07272>之間，直<03588>等細羅<07886>【就是賜平安者】來到<0935><8799>，萬民<05971>都必歸順<03349>。
[big5] 猶大把小驢拴在葡萄樹上，把驢駒拴在美好的葡萄樹上。他在葡萄酒中洗了衣服，在葡萄汁中洗了袍褂。
[bbe] Knotting his ass's cord to the vine, and his young ass to the best vine; washing his robe in wine, and his clothing in the blood of grapes:
[dunv] 猶大把小驢<05895>拴在<0631><8802>葡萄樹<01612>上，把驢<0860>駒<01121>拴在美好的葡萄樹<08321>上。他在葡萄酒<03196>中洗了<03526><8765>衣服<03830>，在葡萄<06025>汁<01818>中洗了袍褂<05497>。
[big5] 他的眼睛必因酒紅潤；他的牙齒必因奶白亮。
[bbe] His eyes will be dark with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

[big5] 西布倫必住在海口，必成為停船的海口；他的境界必延到西頓。
[bbe] The resting-place of Zebulun will be by the sea, and he will be a harbour for ships; the edge of his land will be by Zidon.

[big5] 以薩迦是個強壯的驢，臥在羊圈之中。
[bbe] Issachar is a strong ass stretched out among the flocks:

[big5] 他以安靜為佳，以肥地為美，便低肩背重，成為服苦的僕人。
[bbe] And he saw that rest was good and the land was pleasing; so he let them put weights on his back and became a servant.

[bbe] Dan will be the judge of his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.

[bbe] May Dan be a snake in the way, a horned snake by the road, biting the horse's foot so that the horseman has a fall.
[dunv] 但<01835>必作道<01870>上的蛇<05175>，路<0734>中的虺<08207>，咬傷<05391><8802>馬<05483>蹄<06119>，使騎馬的<07392><8802>墜落<05307><8799>於後<0268>。
[big5] 耶和華啊，我向來等候你的救恩。
[bbe] I have been waiting for your salvation, O Lord.

[big5] 迦得必被敵軍追逼，他卻要追逼他們的腳跟。
[bbe] Gad, an army will come against him, but he will come down on them in their flight.

[bbe] Asher's bread is fat; he gives delicate food for kings.

[bbe] Naphtali is a roe let loose, giving fair young ones.

[big5] 約瑟是多結果子的樹枝，是泉旁多結果的枝子；他的枝條探出牆外。
[bbe] Joseph is a young ox, whose steps are turned to the fountain;

[big5] 弓箭手將他苦害，向他射箭，逼迫他。
[bbe] He was troubled by the archers; they sent out their arrows against him, cruelly wounding him:

[big5] 但他的弓仍舊堅硬；他的手健壯敏捷。這是因以色列的牧者，以色列的磐石─就是雅各的大能者。
[bbe] But their bows were broken by a strong one, and the cords of their arms were cut by the Strength of Jacob, by the name of the Stone of Israel:
[dunv] 但他的弓<07198>仍舊<03427><8799>堅硬<0386>；他的手<03027>{<02220>}健壯<06339><8799>敏捷。這是因以色列的牧者<07462><8802>，以色列<03478>的磐石<068>─就是雅各<03290>的大能者<046><03027>。
[big5] 你父親的神必幫助你；那全能者必將天上所有的福，地裡所藏的福，以及生產乳養的福，都賜給你。
[bbe] Even by the God of your father, who will be your help, and by the Ruler of all, who will make you full with blessings from heaven on high, blessings of the deep stretched out under the earth, blessings of the breasts and of the fertile body:

[big5] 你父親所祝的福，勝過我祖先所祝的福，如永世的山嶺，至極的邊界；這些福必降在約瑟的頭上，臨到那與弟兄迥別之人的頂上。
[bbe] Blessings of sons, old and young, to the father: blessings of the oldest mountains and the fruit of the eternal hills: let them come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of him who was separate from his brothers.
[dunv] 你父親<01>所祝的福<01293>，勝過<01396><8804>我祖先<02029><8802>所祝的福<01293>，如永世<05769>的山<01389>嶺<08379>，至極的邊界；這些福必降在約瑟<03130>的頭<07218>上，臨到那與弟兄<0251>迥別<05139>之人的頂<06936>上。
[big5] 便雅憫是個撕掠的狼，早晨要吃他所抓的，晚上要分他所奪的。
[bbe] Benjamin is a wolf, searching for meat: in the morning he takes his food, and in the evening he makes division of what he has taken.
[dunv] 便雅憫<01144>是個撕掠<02963><8799>的狼<02061>，早晨<01242>要吃<0398><8799>他所抓的<05706>，晚上<06153>要分<02505><8762>他所奪<07998>的。

[bbe] These are the twelve tribes of Israel: and these are the words their father said to them, blessing them; to every one he gave his blessing.

[bbe] And he gave orders to them, saying, Put me to rest with my people and with my fathers, in the hollow of the rock in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
[dunv] 他又囑咐<06680><8762>他們說<0559><8799>：我將要歸到<0622><8737>我列祖<01>【原文作本民<05971>】那裡，你們要將我葬在<05971>赫人<02850>以弗崙<06085>田<07704>間的洞<04631>裡，與我祖我父在一處，
[big5] 就是在迦南地幔利前、麥比拉田間的洞；那洞和田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來為業，作墳地的。
[bbe] In the rock in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in the land of Canaan, which Abraham got from Ephron the Hittite, to be his resting-place.
[dunv] 就是在迦南<03667>地<0776>幔利<04471>前<06440>、麥比拉<04375>田<07704>間的洞<04631>；那洞和田<07704>是亞伯拉罕<085>向赫人<02850>以弗崙<06085>買來<07069><8804>為業<0272>，作墳地<06913>的。
[big5] 他們在那裡葬了亞伯拉罕和他妻撒拉，又在那裡葬了以撒和他的妻子利百加；我也在那裡葬了利亞。
[bbe] There Abraham and Sarah his wife were put to rest, and there they put Isaac and Rebekah his wife, and there I put Leah to rest.

[bbe] And when Jacob had come to the end of these words to his sons, stretching himself on his bed, he gave up his spirit, and went the way of his people.
