[big5] 雅各見埃及有糧，就對兒子們說：你們為什麼彼此觀望呢？
[bbe] Now Jacob, hearing that there was grain in Egypt, said to his sons, Why are you looking at one another?
[dunv] 雅各<03290>見<07200><8799>{<03588>}埃及<04714>有<03426>糧<07668>，{<03290>}就對兒子們<01121>說<0559><8799>：你們為甚麼<04100>彼此觀望<07200><8691>呢？
[big5] 我聽見埃及有糧，你們可以下去，從那裡為我們糴些來，使我們可以存活，不至於死。
[bbe] And he said, I have had news that there is grain in Egypt: go down there and get grain for us, so that life and not death may be ours.

[bbe] So Joseph's ten brothers went down to get grain from Egypt.

[big5] 但約瑟的兄弟便雅憫，雅各沒有打發他和哥哥們同去，因為雅各說：恐怕他遭害。
[bbe] But Jacob did not send Benjamin, Joseph's brother, with them, for fear, as he said, that some evil might come to him.
[dunv] 但約瑟<03130>的兄弟<0251>便雅憫<01144>，雅各<03290>沒有<03808>打發<07971><8804>他和哥哥們<0251>同去，因為<03588>雅各說<0559><8804>：恐怕<06435>他<07122><8799>遭害<0611>。
[big5] 來糴糧的人中有以色列的兒子們，因為迦南地也有饑荒。
[bbe] And the sons of Israel came with all the others to get grain: for they were very short of food in the land of Canaan.
[dunv] 來<0935><8799>糴糧<07666><8800>的人中<08432>有以色列<03478>的兒子們<01121>{<0935>}{<8802>}，因為<03588>迦南<03667>地<0776>也有饑荒<07458>。
[big5] 當時治理埃及地的是約瑟；糶糧給那地眾民的就是他。約瑟的哥哥們來了，臉伏於地，向他下拜。
[bbe] Now Joseph was ruler over all the land, and it was he who gave out the grain to all the people of the land; and Joseph's brothers came before him and went down on their faces to the earth.
[dunv] 當時治理<07989>{<05921>}埃及地<0776>的是約瑟<03130>；糶糧<07666><8688>給那地<0776>眾<03605>民<05971>的就是他<01931>。約瑟<03130>的哥哥們<0251>來了<0935><8799>，臉<0639>伏於地<0776>，向他下拜<07812><8691>。
[big5] 約瑟看見他哥哥們，就認得他們，卻裝作生人，向他們說些嚴厲話，問他們說：你們從哪裡來？他們說：我們從迦南地來糴糧。
[bbe] And when Joseph saw his brothers, it was clear to him who they were, but he made himself strange to them, and talking roughly to them, said, Where do you come from? And they said, From the land of Canaan, to get food.
[dunv] 約瑟<03130>看見<07200><8799>他哥哥們<0251>，就認得他們<05234><8686>，卻裝作生人<05234><8691>，向他們說<01696><8762>些嚴厲話<07186>，問他們說<0559><8799>：你們從那裡<0370>來<0935><8804>？他們說<0559><8799>：我們從迦南<03667>地<0776>來糴<07666><8800>糧<0400>。
[big5] 約瑟認得他哥哥們，他們卻不認得他。
[bbe] Now though Joseph saw that these were his brothers, they had no idea who he was.
[dunv] 約瑟<03130>認得<05234><8686>他哥哥們<0251>，他們<01992>卻不<03808>認得他<05234><8689>。
[big5] 約瑟想起從前所做的那兩個夢，就對他們說：你們是奸細，來窺探這地的虛實。
[bbe] Then the memory of his dreams about them came back to Joseph, and he said to them, You have come secretly to see how poor the land is.
[dunv] 約瑟<03130>想起<02142><8799>{<0834>}從前所做<02492><8804>的那兩個夢<02472>，就對他們說<0559><8799>：你們<0859>是奸細<07270><8764>，來<0935><8804>窺探<07200><8800>這地<0776>的虛實<06172>。
[big5] 他們對他說：我主啊，不是的。僕人們是糴糧來的。
[bbe] And they said to him, Not so, my lord: your servants have come with money to get food.
[dunv] 他們對他說<0559><8799>：我主<0113>阿，不是<03808>的。僕人們<05650>是糴<07666><8800>糧<0400>來的<0935><8804>。
[big5] 我們都是一個人的兒子，是誠實人；僕人們並不是奸細。
[bbe] We are all one man's sons, we are true men; we have not come with any secret purpose.
[dunv] 我們<05168>都是<03605>一個<0259>人<0376>的兒子<01121>，{<05168>}是誠實<03651>人；僕人們<05650>並不是奸細<07270><8764>。
[big5] 約瑟說：不然，你們必是窺探這地的虛實來的。
[bbe] And he said to them, No, but you have come to see how poor the land is.
[dunv] 約瑟說<0559><8799>：不然<03808>，{<03588>}你們必是窺探<07200><8800>這地<0776>的虛實<06172>來的<0935><8804>。
[big5] 他們說：僕人們本是弟兄十二人，是迦南地一個人的兒子，頂小的現今在我們的父親那裡，有一個沒有了。
[bbe] Then they said, We your servants are twelve brothers, sons of one man in the land of Canaan; the youngest of us is now with our father, and one is dead.
[dunv] 他們說<0559><8799>：僕人們<05650>本是弟兄<0251>十二人<08147><06240>，{<0587>}是迦南<03667>地<0776>一個<0376>人<0376>的兒子<01121>，{<02009>}頂小的<06996>現今<03117>在我們的父親<01>那裡，有一個<0259>沒有了<0369>。
[big5] 約瑟說：我才說你們是奸細，這話實在不錯。
[bbe] And Joseph said, It is as I said; you have come with some secret purpose;
[dunv] 約瑟<03130>說<0559><8799>：我才說<0559><8800>你們是奸細<07270><8764>，這話<01696><8765>實在不錯。
[big5] 我指著法老的性命起誓，若是你們的小兄弟不到這裡來，你們就不得出這地方，從此就可以把你們證驗出來了。
[bbe] But in this way will you be put to the test: by the life of Pharaoh, you will not go away from this place till your youngest brother comes here.
[dunv] 我指著法老<06547>的性命<02416>起誓，若是<03588><0518>你們的小<06996>兄弟<0251>不到這裡<0935><8800>，你們就不得<0518>出<03318><8799>這<02063>地方，從此<02063>就可以把你們證驗出來了<0974><8735>。
[big5] 須要打發你們中間一個人去，把你們的兄弟帶來。至於你們，都要囚在這裡，好證驗你們的話真不真，若不真，我指著法老的性命起誓，你們一定是奸細。
[bbe] Send one of your number to get your brother, and the rest of you will be kept in prison, so that your words may be tested to see if you are true; if not, by the life of Pharaoh, your purpose is certainly secret.
[dunv] 須要打發<07971><8798>你們中間一個人<0259>去，把你們的兄弟<0251>帶來<03947><8799>。至於你們<0859>，都要囚在這裡<0631><8734>，好證驗<0974><8735>你們的話<01697>真不真<0571>{<0854>}，若<0518>不<03808>真，我指著法老<06547>的性命<02416>起誓，你們<0859>一定<03588>是奸細<07270><8764>。
[big5] 於是約瑟把他們都下在監裡三天。
[bbe] So he put them in prison for three days.
[dunv] 於是約瑟把他們都下在<0622><8799>監<04929>裡<0413>三<07969>天<03117>。
[big5] 到了第三天，約瑟對他們說：我是敬畏神的；你們照我的話行就可以存活。
[bbe] And on the third day Joseph said to them, Do this, if you would keep your lives: for I am a god-fearing man:
[dunv] 到了{<02063>}第三<07992>天<03117>，約瑟<03130>對他們說<0559><8799>：我<0589>是敬畏<03373>神<0430>的；你們照我的話行<06213><8798>就可以存活<02421><8798>。
[big5] 你們如果是誠實人，可以留你們中間的一個人囚在監裡，但你們可以帶著糧食回去，救你們家裡的饑荒。
[bbe] If you are true men, let one of you be kept in prison, while you go and take grain for the needs of your families;
[dunv] 你們<0859>如果<0518>是誠實<03651>人，可以留你們中間<0251>的一個人<0259>囚在<0631><8735>監裡<01004><04929>，但你們<0859>可以帶著<0935><8685>糧食<07668>回去<03212><8798>，救你們家<01004>裡的饑荒<07459>。
[big5] 把你們的小兄弟帶到我這裡來，如此，你們的話便有證據，你們也不至於死。他們就照樣而行。
[bbe] And come back to me with your youngest brother, so that your words may be seen to be true, and you will not be put to death. This is what you are to do.

[big5] 他們彼此說：我們在兄弟身上實在有罪。他哀求我們的時候，我們見他心裡的愁苦，卻不肯聽，所以這場苦難臨到我們身上。
[bbe] And they said to one another, Truly, we did wrong to our brother, for we saw his grief of mind, and we did not give ear to his prayers; that is why this trouble has come on us.
[dunv] 他們彼此<0376><0413><0251>說<0559><8799>：我們<0587>在兄弟<0251>身上實在<061>有罪<0818>。{<05921>}他{<0251>}哀求<02603><8692>我們<0413>的時候，我們見<07200><8804>他{<0834>}心裡<05315>的愁苦<06869>，卻不肯<03808>聽<08085><8804>，所以<05921><03651>這場<02088>苦難<06869>臨到<0935><8804>我們身上<0413>。
[big5] 流便說：我豈不是對你們說過，不可傷害那孩子嗎？只是你們不肯聽，所以流他血的罪向我們追討。
[bbe] And Reuben said to them, Did I not say to you, Do the child no wrong? but you gave no attention; so now, punishment has come on us for his blood.
[dunv] 流便<07205>{<06030>}{<8799>}說<0559><8800>：我豈不是<03808>{<0559>}{<8804>}對你們說過<0559><8800>，不可<03808>傷害<02398><8799>那孩子<03206>麼？只是你們不肯<03808>聽<08085><8804>，所以<04994>流他血的罪<01818>{<02009>}向我們追討<01875><8738>。
[big5] 他們不知道約瑟聽得出來，因為在他們中間用通事傳話。
[bbe] They were not conscious that the sense of their words was clear to Joseph, for he had been talking to them through one who had knowledge of their language.
[dunv] 他們不<03808>知道<03045><8804>{<03588>}約瑟<03130>聽得出來<08085><8802>，因為<03588>在他們中間<0996>用通事傳話<03887><8688>。
[big5] 約瑟轉身退去，哭了一場，又回來對他們說話，就從他們中間挑出西緬來，在他們眼前把他捆綁。
[bbe] And turning away from them, he was overcome with weeping; then he went on talking to them again and took Simeon and put chains on him before their eyes.
[dunv] 約瑟轉身<05437><8735>退去，哭了一場<01058><8799>，又回來<07725><8799>對他們說話<01696><8762>，就從他們中間挑出<03947><8799>西緬<08095>來，在他們眼前<05869>把他捆綁<0631><8799>。
[big5] 約瑟吩咐人把糧食裝滿他們的器具，把各人的銀子歸還在各人的口袋裡，又給他們路上用的食物，人就照他的話辦了。
[bbe] Then Joseph gave orders for their bags to be made full of grain, and for every man's money to be put back into his bag, and for food to be given them for the journey: which was done.
[dunv] 約瑟<03130>吩咐<06680><8762>人把糧食<01250>裝滿<04390><8762>他們的器具<03627>，把各人<0376>的銀子<03701>歸還<07725><8687>在<0413>各人的口袋<08242>裡，又給<05414><8800>他們路<01870>上用的食物<06720>，人就照<03651>他<03651>的話辦了<06213><8799>。
[big5] 他們就把糧食馱在驢上，離開那裡去了。
[bbe] Then they put the bags of grain on their asses and went away.
[dunv] 他們就把糧食<07668>馱在<05375><8799>驢<02543>上<05921>，離開<03212><8799>那裡<08033>去了。
[big5] 到了住宿的地方，他們中間有一個人打開口袋，要拿料餵驢，才看見自己的銀子仍在口袋裡，
[bbe] Now at their night's resting-place one of them, opening his bag to give his ass some food, saw his money in the mouth of the bag.
[dunv] 到了住宿的地方<04411>，他們中間有一個人<0259>打開<06605><8799>口袋<08242>，要拿料<04554>餵<05414><8800>驢<02543>，才看見<07200><8799>自己的銀子<03701>仍在{<02009>}{<01931>}口<06310>袋<0572>裡，
[big5] 就對弟兄們說：我的銀子歸還了，看哪，仍在我口袋裡！他們就提心吊膽，戰戰兢兢地彼此說：這是神向我們做什麼呢？
[bbe] And he said to his brothers, My money has been given back: it is in my bag; then their hearts became full of fear, and turning to one another they said, What is this which God has done to us?
[dunv] 就對<0413>弟兄們<0251>說<0559><8799>：我的銀子<03701>歸還了<07725><8717>，看哪<02009>，仍在我口袋裡<0572>！他們就提心吊膽<03820><03318><8799>，戰戰兢兢的<02729><8799>彼此<0376>{<0413>}<0251>說<0559><8800>：這是<02088>神<0430>向我們做<06213><8804>甚麼<04100>呢？
[big5] 他們來到迦南地、他們的父親雅各那裡，將所遭遇的事都告訴他，說：
[bbe] So when they came to Jacob their father, in the land of Canaan, they gave him an account of all their experiences, saying,
[dunv] 他們來<0935><8799>到<0413>迦南<03667>地<0776>、他們的父親<01>雅各<03290>那裡，將所遭遇的<07136><8802>事都<03605>告訴<05046><8686>他，說<0559><8800>：
[big5] 那地的主對我們說嚴厲的話，把我們當作窺探那地的奸細。
[bbe] The man who is the ruler of the country was rough with us and put us in prison, saying that we had come with a secret evil purpose.
[dunv] {<0376>}那地<0776>的主<0113>對我們說<01696><8765>嚴厲的話<07186>，把我們當作<05414><8799>窺探那地<0776>的奸細<07270><8764>。
[big5] 我們對他說：我們是誠實人，並不是奸細。
[bbe] And we said to him, We are true men, we have no evil designs;
[dunv] 我們對他說<0559><8799>：我們是誠實人<03651>，並不<03605>是奸細<07270><8764>。
[big5] 我們本是弟兄十二人，都是一個父親的兒子，有一個沒有了，頂小的如今同我們的父親在迦南地。
[bbe] We are twelve brothers, sons of our father; one is dead, and the youngest is now with our father in the land of Canaan.
[dunv] 我們<0587>本是弟兄<0251>十二人<06240><08147>，都是一個父親<01>的兒子<01121>，有一個<0259>沒有了<0369>，頂小的<06996>如今<03117>同<0854>我們的父親<01>在迦南<03667>地<0776>。
[big5] 那地的主對我們說：若要我知道你們是誠實人，可以留下你們中間的一個人在我這裡，你們可以帶著糧食回去，救你們家裡的饑荒。
[bbe] And the ruler of the land said, In this way I may be certain that you are true men; let one of you be kept here with me, while you go and take grain for the needs of your families;
[dunv] {<0376>}那地<0776>的主<0113>對我們<0413>說<0559><8799>：若要<02063>我知道<03045><8799>{<03588>}你們<0859>是誠實人<03651>，可以留下<03240><8685>你們中間<0251>的一個人<0259>在我這裡<0854>，你們可以帶著<03947><8798>糧食回去{<03212>}{<8798>}，救你們家裡<01004>的饑荒<07459>。
[big5] 把你們的小兄弟帶到我這裡來，我便知道你們不是奸細，乃是誠實人。這樣，我就把你們的弟兄交給你們，你們也可以在這地做買賣。
[bbe] And come back to me with your youngest brother: then I will be certain that you are true men, and I will give your brother back to you and let you do trade in the land.
[dunv] 把你們的小<06996>兄弟<0251>帶到<0935><8685>我這裡來<0413>，我便知道<03045><8799>{<03588>}你們<0859>不是<03808>奸細<07270><8764>，{<0859>}乃是<03588>誠實人<03651>。這樣，我就把你們的弟兄<0251>交給<05414><8799>你們，你們也可以在這地<0776>做買賣<05503><8799>。
[big5] 後來他們倒口袋，不料，各人的銀包都在口袋裡；他們和父親看見銀包就都害怕。
[bbe] And when they took the grain out of their bags, it was seen that every man's parcel of money was in his bag; and when they and their father saw the money, they were full of fear.
[dunv] 後來<01961>他們<02004>倒<07324><8688>口袋<08242>，不料<02009>，各人<0376>的銀<03701>包<06872>都在口袋裡<08242>；他們<01992>和父親<01>看見<07200><8799>銀<03701>包<06872>就都害怕<03372><8799>。
[big5] 他們的父親雅各對他們說：你們使我喪失我的兒子：約瑟沒有了，西緬也沒有了，你們又要將便雅憫帶去；這些事都歸到我身上了。
[bbe] And Jacob their father said to them, You have taken my children from me: Joseph is gone and Simeon is gone, and now you would take Benjamin away; all these things have come on me.
[dunv] 他們的父親<01>雅各<03290>對他們<0413>說<0559><8799>：你們使我喪失<07921><8765>我的兒子：約瑟<03130>沒有了<0369>，西緬<08095>也沒有了<0369>，你們又要將便雅憫<01144>帶去<03947><8799>；這些事都<03605>歸到我身上了<01961><05921>。
[big5] 流便對他父親說：我若不帶他回來交給你，你可以殺我的兩個兒子。只管把他交在我手裡，我必帶他回來交給你。
[bbe] And Reuben said, Put my two sons to death if I do not come back to you with him; let him be in my care and I will give him safely back to you.
[dunv] 流便<07205>對{<0559>}{<8799>}<0413>他父親<01>說<0559><8800>：我若<0518>不<03808>帶他<0935><8686>回來交給你<0413>，你可以殺<04191><8686>我的兩個<08147>兒子<01121>。只管把他交在<05414><8798>我手<03027>裡<05921>，我<0589>必帶他回來<07725><8686>交給你<0413>。
[big5] 雅各說：我的兒子不可與你們一同下去；他哥哥死了，只剩下他，他若在你們所行的路上遭害，那便是你們使我白髮蒼蒼、悲悲慘慘地下陰間去了。
[bbe] And he said, I will not let my son go down with you; for his brother is dead and he is all I have: if evil overtakes him on the journey, then through you will my grey head go down to the underworld in sorrow.
[dunv] 雅各說<0559><8799>：我的兒子<01121>不可<03808>與你們<05973>一同下去<03381><8799>；{<03588>}他哥哥<0251>死了<04191><8804>，只<0905>剩下<07604><8738>他<01931>，他若在你們所<0834>行的<03212><8799>路上<01870>遭<07122><8804>害<0611>，那便是你們使<03381><8689>我白髮蒼蒼<07872>、悲悲慘慘<03015>的下陰間<07585>去了。
