[bbe] Now at that time, Judah went away from his brothers and became the friend of a man of Adullam named Hirah.

[big5] 猶大在那裡看見一個迦南人名叫書亞的女兒，就娶他為妻，與他同房，
[bbe] And there he saw the daughter of a certain man of Canaan named Shua, and took her as his wife.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>在那裡<08033>看見<07200><8799>一個<0376>迦南人<03669>名<08034>叫書亞<07770>的女兒<01323>，就娶<03947><8799>他為妻，與他同房<0935><8799>，
[big5] 他就懷孕生了兒子，猶大給他起名叫珥。
[bbe] And she gave birth to a son, and he gave him the name Er.
[dunv] 他就懷孕<02029><8799>生了<03205><8799>兒子<01121>，猶大給他起名<08034>叫<07121><8799>珥<06147>。
[big5] 他又懷孕生了兒子，母親給他起名叫俄南。
[bbe] And again she gave birth to a son, and he gave him the name Onan.
[dunv] 他又<05750>懷孕<02029><8799>生了<03205><8799>兒子<01121>，母親給他起名<08034>叫<07121><8799>俄南<0209>。
[big5] 他復又生了兒子，給他起名叫示拉。他生示拉的時候，猶大正在基悉。
[bbe] Then she had another son, to whom she gave the name Shelah; she was at Chezib when the birth took place.
[dunv] 他復<03254><8686>又<05750>生了<03205><8799>兒子<01121>，給他起名<08034>叫<07121><8799>示拉<07956>。他生<03205><8800>示拉的時候，猶大正在基悉<03580>。
[big5] 猶大為長子珥娶妻，名叫他瑪。
[bbe] And Judah took a wife for his first son Er, and her name was Tamar.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>為長子<01060>珥<06147>娶<03947><8799>妻<0802>，名<08034>叫他瑪<08559>。
[big5] 猶大的長子珥在耶和華眼中看為惡，耶和華就叫他死了。
[bbe] Now Er, Judah's first son, did evil in the eyes of the Lord, so that he put him to death.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>的長子<01060>珥<06147>在耶和華<03068>眼中<05869>看為惡<07451>，耶和華<03068>就叫他死了<04191><8686>。
[big5] 猶大對俄南說：你當與你哥哥的妻子同房，向他盡你為弟的本分，為你哥哥生子立後。
[bbe] Then Judah said to Onan, Go in to your brother's wife and do what it is right for a husband's brother to do; make her your wife and get offspring for your brother.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>對俄南<0209>說<0559><8799>：你當與你哥哥<0251>的妻子<0802>同房<0935><8798>，向他盡你為弟的本分<02992><8761>，為你哥哥<0251>生子立<06965><8685>後<02233>。
[big5] 俄南知道生子不歸自己，所以同房的時候便遺在地，免得給他哥哥留後。
[bbe] But Onan, seeing that the offspring would not be his, went in to his brother's wife, but let his seed go on to the earth, so that he might not get offspring for his brother.
[dunv] 俄南<0209>知道<03045><8799>{<03588>}生子<02233>不<03808>歸自己，所以{<0251>}{<0802>}{<0413>}同房<0935><8802>的時候<0518>便遺<07843><8765>在地<0776>，免得<01115>給他哥哥<0251>留<05414><8800>後<02233>。
[big5] 俄南所做的在耶和華眼中看為惡，耶和華也就叫他死了。
[bbe] And what he did was evil in the eyes of the Lord, so that he put him to death, like his brother.
[dunv] 俄南所<0834>做<06213><8804>的在耶和華<03068>眼中<05869>看為惡<03415><8799>，耶和華也就<01571>叫他死了<04191><8686>。
[big5] 猶大心裡說：恐怕示拉也死，像他兩個哥哥一樣，就對他兒婦他瑪說：你去，在你父親家裡守寡，等我兒子示拉長大。他瑪就回去，住在他父親家裡。
[bbe] Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, Go back to your father's house and keep yourself as a widow till my son Shelah becomes a man: for he had in his mind the thought that death might come to him as it had come to his brothers. So Tamar went back to her father's house.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>心裡說<0559><8804>：{<03588>}恐怕<06435>示拉也<01571>死<04191><8799>，像他兩個哥哥<0251>一樣，就對他兒婦<03618>他瑪<08559>說<0559><8799>：你去，在你父親<01>家<01004>裡守<03427><8798>寡<0490>，等<05704>我兒子<01121>示拉<07956>長大<01431><8799>。他瑪<08559>就回去<03212><8799>，住<03427><8799>在他父親<01>家<01004>裡。
[big5] 過了許久，猶大的妻子書亞的女兒死了。猶大得了安慰，就和他朋友亞杜蘭人希拉上亭拿去，到他剪羊毛的人那裡。
[bbe] And after a time, Bath-shua, Judah's wife, came to her end; and after Judah was comforted for her loss, he went to Timnah, where they were cutting the wool of his sheep, and his friend Hirah of Adullam went with him.
[dunv] 過了許久<07235><8799><03117>，猶大<03063>的妻子<0802>書亞<07770>的女兒<01323>死了<04191><8799>。猶大<03063>得了安慰<05162><8735>，就和他朋友<07453>亞杜蘭人<05726>希拉<02437>上<05927><8799>亭拿<08553>去<05921>，到他剪羊毛的人<01494><8802><06629>那裡。
[big5] 有人告訴他瑪說：你的公公上亭拿剪羊毛去了。
[bbe] And when Tamar had news that her father-in-law was going up to Timnah to the wool-cutting,
[dunv] 有人告訴<05046><8714>他瑪<08559>說<0559><8800>：{<02009>}你的公公<02524>上<05927><8802>亭拿<08553>剪<01494><8800>羊<06629>毛去了。
[big5] 他瑪見示拉已經長大，還沒有娶他為妻，就脫了他作寡婦的衣裳，用帕子蒙著臉，又遮住身體，坐在亭拿路上的伊拿印城門口。
[bbe] She took off her widow's clothing, and covering herself with her veil, she took her seat near Enaim on the road to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was now a man, but she had not been made his wife.
[dunv] {<03588>}他瑪見<07200><8804>{<03588>}示拉<07956>已經長大<01431><8804>，還沒有<03808>娶<05414><8738>他為妻<0802>，就脫了<05493><8686><05493><00>他作寡婦<0491>的衣裳<0899>，用帕子<06809>蒙著<03680><8762>臉，又遮住身體<05968><8691>，坐<03427><8799>在{<0834>}亭拿<08553>路<01870>上<05921>的伊拿印<05869>城門口<06607>。
[big5] 猶大看見他，以為是妓女，因為他蒙著臉。
[bbe] When Judah saw her he took her to be a loose woman of the town, because her face was covered.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>看見<07200><8799>他，以為<02803><8799>是妓女<02181><8802>，因為<03588>他蒙著<03680><8765>臉<06440>。
[big5] 猶大就轉到他那裡去，說：來吧！讓我與你同寢。他原不知道是他的兒婦。他瑪說：你要與我同寢，把什麼給我呢？
[bbe] And turning to her by the roadside, he said to her, Let me come in to you; for he had no idea that she was his daughter-in-law. And she said, What will you give me as my price?
[dunv] 猶大就轉<05186><8799>到他那裡去{<0413>}{<01870>}，說<0559><8799>：來罷<03051><8798>！{<04994>}讓我與你同寢<0935><8799>。他原<03588>不<03808>知道<03045><8804>{<03588>}是他的兒婦<03618>。他瑪說<0559><8799>：{<03588>}你要與我同寢<0935><8799>，把甚麼<04100>給<05414><8799>我呢？
[big5] 猶大說：我從羊群裡取一隻山羊羔，打發人送來給你。他瑪說：在未送以先，你願意給我一個當頭嗎？
[bbe] And he said, I will give you a young goat from the flock. And she said, What will you give me as a sign till you send it?
[dunv] 猶大說<0559><8799>：我<0595>從<04480>羊群<06629>裡取一隻山羊羔<05795><01423>，打發人送來<07971><8762>給你。他瑪說<0559><8799>：{<0518>}在未送<07971><8800>以先<05704>，你願意給<05414><8799>我一個當頭<06162>麼？
[big5] 他說：我給你什麼當頭呢？他瑪說：你的印、你的帶子，和你手裡的杖。猶大就給了他，與他同寢，他就從猶大懷了孕。
[bbe] And he said, What would you have? And she said, Your ring and its cord and the stick in your hand. So he gave them to her and went in to her, and she became with child by him.
[dunv] 他說<0559><8799>：{<0834>}我給<05414><8799>你甚麼<0834>當頭<06162>呢？他瑪說<0559><8799>：你的印<02368>、你的帶子<06616>，和{<0834>}你手裡<03027>的杖<04294>。猶大就給了<05414><8799>他，與他同寢<0935><8799>，他就從猶大懷了孕<02029><8799>。
[big5] 他瑪起來走了，除去帕子，仍舊穿上作寡婦的衣裳。
[bbe] Then she got up and went away and took off her veil and put on her widow's clothing.
[dunv] 他瑪起來<06965><8799>走了<03212><8799>，除去<05493><8686>帕子<06809>，仍舊穿上<03847><8799>作寡婦<0491>的衣裳<0899>。
[big5] 猶大託他朋友亞杜蘭人送一隻山羊羔去，要從那女人手裡取回當頭來，卻找不著他，
[bbe] Then Judah sent his friend Hirah with the young goat, to get back the things which he had given as a sign to the woman: but she was not there.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>託他朋友<07453>{<03027>}亞杜蘭人<05726>送<07971><8799>一隻山羊羔<01423><05795>去，要從那女人<0802>手<03027>裡取回<03947><8800>當頭<06162>來，卻找不著他<04672><8804><03808>，
[big5] 就問那地方的人說：伊拿印路旁的妓女在哪裡？他們說：這裡並沒有妓女。
[bbe] And he put questions to the men of the place, saying, Where is the loose woman who was in Enaim by the wayside? And they said, There was no such woman there.
[dunv] 就問<07592><8799>那地方<04725>的人<0582>說<0559><8800>：伊拿印<05869>路旁<01870><05921>的妓女<06948>在那裡<0346>？他們說<0559><8799>：這裡<02088>並沒有<03808>妓女<06948>。
[big5] 他回去見猶大說：我沒有找著他，並且那地方的人說：這裡沒有妓女。
[bbe] So he went back to Judah, and said, I have not seen her, and the men of the place say that there is no such woman there.
[dunv] 他回去<07725><8799>見<0413>猶大<03063>說<0559><8799>：我沒有<03808>找著他<04672><8804>，並且<01571>那地方<04725>的人<0582>說<0559><8804>：這裡<02088>沒有<03808>妓女<06948>。
[big5] 猶大說：我把這山羊羔送去了，你竟找不著他。任憑他拿去吧，免得我們被羞辱。
[bbe] And Judah said, Let her keep the things, so that we may not be shamed; I sent the young goat, but you did not see the woman.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>說<0559><8799>：{<02009>}我把這<02088>山羊羔<01423>送去了<07971><8804>，你竟找不著他<04672><8804><03808>。任憑他拿去罷<03947><8799>，免得<03588>我們被羞辱<0937>。
[big5] 約過了三個月，有人告訴猶大說：你的兒婦他瑪作了妓女，且因行淫有了身孕。猶大說：拉出他來，把他燒了！
[bbe] Now about three months after this, word came to Judah that Tamar, his daughter-in-law, had been acting like a loose woman and was with child. And Judah said, Take her out and let her be burned.
[dunv] 約過了三<07969>個月<02320>，有人告訴<05046><8714>猶大<03063>說<0559><8800>：你的兒婦<03618>他瑪<08559>作了妓女<02181><8804>，且<01571>因{<02009>}行淫<02183>有了身孕<02030>。猶大<03063>說<0559><8799>：拉出他來<03318><8685>，把他燒了<08313><8735>！
[big5] 他瑪被拉出來的時候便打發人去見他公公，對他說：這些東西是誰的，我就是從誰懷的孕。請你認一認，這印和帶子並杖都是誰的？
[bbe] And while she was being taken out, she sent word to her father-in-law, saying, The man whose property these things are, is the father of my child: say then, whose are this ring and this cord and this stick?
[dunv] 他瑪被拉出來<03318><8716>的時候便打發<07971><8804>人<0376>去見<0413>他公公<02524>，對他說<0559><8800>：這些<0428>東西是誰的<0834>，我<0595>就是從誰懷的孕<02030>。{<0559>}{<8799>}請你<4994>認一認<05234><8685>，這<0428>印<02858>和帶子<06616>並杖<04294>都是誰的<04310>？
[big5] 猶大承認說：他比我更有義，因為我沒有將他給我的兒子示拉。從此猶大不再與他同寢了。
[bbe] Then Judah said openly that they were his, and said, She is more upright than I am, for I did not give her to Shelah my son. And he had no more connection with her.
[dunv] 猶大<03063>承認<05234><8686>說<0559><8799>：他比我更有義<06663><8804>，因為我沒有將他給<05414><8804>我的兒子<01121>示拉<07956>。從此猶大不再<03254><8804><05750>與他同寢<03045><8800>了。
[big5] 他瑪將要生產，不料他腹裡是一對雙生。
[bbe] And when the time came for her to give birth, it was clear that there were two children in her body.
[dunv] <01961>他瑪將要生產<03205><8800><06256>，不料<02009>他腹裡<0990>是一對雙生<08380>。
[big5] 到生產的時候，一個孩子伸出一隻手來；收生婆拿紅線拴在他手上，說：這是頭生的。
[bbe] And while she was in the act of giving birth, one of them put out his hand; and the woman who was with her put a red thread round his hand, saying, This one came out first.
[dunv] {<01961>}到生產<03205><8800>的時候，一個孩子伸出<05414><8799>一隻手<03027>來；收生婆<03205><8764>拿<03947><8799>紅線<08144>拴在<07194><8799>他手<03027>上<05921>，說<0559><8800>：這是頭<07223>生<03318><8804>的。
[big5] 隨後這孩子把手收回去，他哥哥生出來了；收生婆說：你為什麼搶著來呢？因此給他起名叫法勒斯。
[bbe] But then he took his hand back again, and his brother came first to birth: and the woman said, What an opening you have made for yourself! So he was named Perez.
[dunv] 隨後<01961>這孩子把手<03027>收回去<07725><8688>，{<02009>}他哥哥<0251>生出來了<03318><8804>；收生婆說<0559><8799>：你為甚麼<04100>搶著來<06555><8804><06556>呢？因此給他起名<08034>叫<07121><8799>法勒斯<06557>。
[big5] 後來，他兄弟那手上有紅線的也生出來，就給他起名叫謝拉。
[bbe] And then his brother came out, with the red thread round his hand, and he was named Zerah.
[dunv] 後來<0310>，他兄弟<0251>那<0834>手<03027>上<05921>有紅線<08144>的也生出來<03318><8804>，就給他起名<08034>叫<07121><8799>謝拉<02226>。
